Nitsch provided land surveying and civil engineering services for a new 70,000-gross-square-foot charter school that will serve roughly 750 middle and high school students. This expedited project resulted in a fully operational new facility in less than two years.
We performed topographic, utility, boundary, and title insurance surveys on the 5.8-acre site located off of High Rock Road. The site’s position on a hill made mapping the area difficult. Furthermore, the quality and quantity of record boundary evidence posed challenges in identifying the property lines of the land. Nitsch retraced street lines from record information that dated back to the 1890s and early 20th century.
Nitsch also provided grading design and utility design for the water and sewer services. To mitigate peak rate of stormwater run-off, we also designed a subsurface drainage detention system.
