To better support their operation, Genzyme chose to renovate a 130,000-square-foot warehouse, including designing site improvements for the 20-acre site.
Nitsch designed grading improvements to the existing parking lot, and designed new water, sewer, and electrical utility connections for a proposed central utility plant to be located at the back of the site. We also designed several stormwater management and drainage improvements to the site in accordance with Northborough Department of Public Works Standards.
The Genzyme Northborough Operations Center earned LEED-CI v2.0 Gold certification.
