Nitsch performed GPS and on-the-ground instrument surveys of roughly 33 acres of runway and woodland associated with Runway 16/34, and about 94 acres of runway and abutting land associated with Runway 9/27 at the Beverly Airport. The surveys were used to permit and design an 800-foot extension of Runway 16/34 and to reposition and reconstruct the 5,000-foot-long Runway 9/27.
