What do you love most about your job?
“Of the many aspects of survey I enjoy, the most satisfying is the detective work involved with boundary survey. I love historical research, site walks looking for hundred-year-old monuments, evidence analysis, and piecing together the different properties like a giant puzzle.”
What drew you to working in land surveying?
“I took a few drafting and surveying courses while working towards a civil engineering degree, which led to my first job as an instrument person working outside combined with drafting responsibilities on the bad weather days. The indoor/outdoor combination had me hooked from the start.”
What are you passionate about outside of work?
“I enjoy camping with family and friends. Our camping destinations tend to serve as a base for other outdoor activities, including hiking, bicycling, golfing, and kayaking.”
