DesignDC is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges of working in the metropolitan Washington area … and we are thrilled to be a part of the upcoming DesignDC 2017 conference!
Join Nitsch Engineering on Tuesday, October 3rd, for the lunchtime learning program, Stormwater Master Planning at the University of Virginia. In this hour-long session, Judith Nitsch, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Founding Principal of Nitsch Engineering, and Dawson Garrod, PE, Civil Engineer at the University of Virginia (UVA), will discuss how preparing stormwater plans for two major watersheds enabled several significant projects on the UVA grounds, improved campus sustainability, reduced flooding, and enhanced the historic campus landscape. Attendees will learn what stormwater master planning should entail, how it can be used to improve environmental stewardship and beautify a landscape, and how a stormwater master plan can benefit a building program (including saving money).
DesignDC is being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, from Tuesday, October 3rd through Thursday, October 5th. Note that early bird registration (with a $45 discount!) ends July 30th.
