Nitsch Engineering is excited to share that eight Nitsch projects have been recognized by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and Built Environment Plus at the Northeast Embodied Carbon Summit. This includes the Embodied Carbon Reduction Challenge Grand Prize: New Construction Award for the Sustainable Engineering Laboratories project at the University of Massachusetts Amherst!
With the initiative to “jumpstart the upfront reduction of carbon in building projects across Massachusetts,” MassCEC and Built Environment Plus launched the Embodied Carbon Reduction Challenge. Sixteen teams participated in the challenge by submitting projects for a chance to win cash prizes and be recognized for their exemplary achievements in reducing carbon emissions. Eleven of the 16 applicants were awarded.
