Nitsch Engineering celebrates our 27th anniversary today, and we’re taking the opportunity to reflect on who we are as a company.
Since our founding in 1989, we have been committed to building better communities with you. It’s our tagline, but it’s not just words on a paper (or screen) to us – it’s a real commitment to working with our clients and industry colleagues, employees, and communities to make the world around us a better place.
To celebrate this on-going commitment, we’d like to invite you to help us give back to some very deserving organizations.
Over the years, Nitsch Engineering has supported dozens of charitable endeavors, either by volunteering our time, donating money, or providing pro-bono or reduced-fee services for projects. With some help from our community-minded employees, we have narrowed that list down to five amazing charities – and we need your help to decide how much to donate to each!
Please vote for the charity that you’d like us to donate to. We’ll split our donation among these charities based on the percent of the vote each charity receives! Voting will stay open until Friday, September 23rd.
- Charles River Watershed Association is dedicated to protecting, preserving and enhancing the Charles River and its watershed through science, advocacy and the law.
- Engineers Without Borders builds a better world through engineering projects that empower communities to meet their basic human needs. A couple of Nitsch Engineering employees have volunteered for this organization!
- Heading Home is working to end homelessness in greater Boston by providing a pathway to self-sufficiency that begins with a home, together with critical services such as life skills, financial literacy, and job training.
- Hope Lodge provides free lodging to cancer patients traveling more than 40 miles to their outpatient cancer treatments. Nitsch Engineering provided civil engineering services for their Jamaica Plain location.
- Merrimack Valley Food Bank, based in Lowell, serves 47 cities and towns in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Nitsch Engineering, through our involvement with Canstruction Boston, has donated over 13,000 cans in the last five years!
