Nitsch is pleased to announce the company’s continued governance and leadership transitions, with one new member joining the Board of Directors and two key leaders promoted to Vice Presidents.
David Abramo, Director of Finance, has joined Nitsch’s Board of Directors. The seven-person Board of Directors is elected by the firm’s shareholders and is responsible for the overall direction and strategic vision of the firm. The other Board members are President and Chief Executive Officer Lisa A. Brothers, PE, ENV SP, LEED AP BD+C (Chair of the Board); Vice President and Director of Civil Engineering Deborah M. Danik, PE, CPESC, LEED AP BD+C (Vice Chair of the Board); Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Aaron A. Gallagher, PE, CFM, LEED AP; Deputy Director of Planning Jennifer L. Johnson, PE, CFM, LEED AP; Director of Marketing Anna Luciano, CPSM; and Director of IT Andres Repetto.
Alexander Diotte, PLS, Deputy Director of Land Surveying, and John Michalak, PE, ENV SP, Director of Transportation Engineering have been promoted to Vice Presidents, in recognition of their leadership and positive impact on our operations.
About the New Member of the Board of Directors: David Abramo
David Abramo has more than 18 years of experience with corporate accounting and management in the A/E/C industry. As Director of Finance, David is responsible for overseeing all functions of the Accounting Department. He applies his skills of teambuilding and communication, along with analytical and organizational skills, to all tasks, including payroll, billing, budgeting, and management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. David received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nichols College, and an MBA from Bentley University.
About the New Vice Presidents: Alexander Diotte and John Michalak
Alexander Diotte, PLS has more than 37 years of experience in land surveying, including fieldwork, research, calculations, drafting, and project management. He is experienced in all forms of surveys, including property line, topographic, geodetic, title insurance, and construction surveys. As the Deputy Director of Land Surveying, Alex helps oversee the daily operations of Nitsch’s land surveying department and field crew. He received a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from the University of Maine.
John Michalak, PE, ENV SP has 30 years of experience related to the management and implementation of complex transportation and infrastructure improvement projects throughout New England. John’s experience includes design of highways and municipal roadways, traffic improvements, streetscape enhancements, multi-use recreational trails, utility plans, environmental permitting, right-of-way acquisition, traffic management during construction, construction estimating and scheduling, and construction oversight. He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
