Last Thursday, October 17th, Paige Blanchard, PE, LEED Green Associate, Senior Project Engineer, was awarded the Rising Star Award from the Boston Chapter of Professional Women in Construction (PWC Boston) at their third Annual Awards Celebration. Paige was blind selected from a large group of applicants within the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry to be recognized with the award.
PWC Boston’s Annual Awards Celebration “recognizes the professionals who are pioneering efforts for women and fostering a more diverse workforce in the AEC community throughout the Greater Boston area and beyond.” They state that the Rising Star Award celebrates women who “have been in the A/E/C industry 15 or less years, have demonstrated strong ethics and values, have proven to learn and think strategically, focuses on customer’s needs and sets high standards for herself and continues to seek opportunities to grow.”

In her acceptance speech, Paige said “I want to give a special thanks to my employer, Nitsch Engineering. Your support and belief in my potential has been instrumental in my journey. I also want to express my appreciation for my amazing colleagues and mentors. Working in such a collaborative environment has allowed me to grow and push my boundaries every day.”
