The Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Needham’s South Wing Expansion project involved a 37,000-square-foot addition and was the hospital’s largest facility improvement project in 30 years. It included a new state-of-the-art emergency department, 20 new private in-patient rooms, a new MRI suite, and a new façade and main entrance.
Nitsch designed the site layout and grading, and a sustainable stormwater management solution that included bioretention to manage stormwater runoff. We also prepared plans for special permit approval.
