To celebrate our 30th anniversary, Nitsch Engineering combined two things that we’re passionate about: giving back to the community and enjoying each other’s company. In partnership with United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, on Tuesday, September 10th, 100 Nitsch employees worked together to create games and assemble supplies that stimulate learning and build skills. We then packaged these items – along with children’s books focused on infrastructure – into 300 literacy kits!
These kits will be distributed to children between the ages of three and five, to help the children build pre-literacy, math, and social skills – as well as the confidence that will start them off on the right foot as they enter kindergarten!

Javier Revilla and Ted Presume assemble the kits, which included a pack of crayons, a pair of scissors, a Play-Doh, a pencil, a handful of stickers, a package of construction paper, a pencil pouch, a Roll-a-Word game, and a book.
Deborah Danik, Senior Project Manager and member of the Board of Directors; Lisa Brothers, CEO and Chairman of the Board; and Gary Pease, Vice President of Client services show off the books we chose for the kids to receive!
