On January 17th, in recognition of their commitment to collaboration and the advancement of the AEC industry, Chairman and CEO Lisa Brothers, PE, ENV SP, LEED AP BD+C, and Founding Principal Judy Nitsch, PE, LEED AP BD+C, were recognized by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) with Honorary Membership. They were honored for their leadership of Nitsch Engineering, but also for their contributions to professional knowledge and development through countless organizations including the City of Boston’s Women’s Workforce Council, the Commercial Real Estate Women Network, the Society of Women Engineers, the Urban Land Institute, and the BSA.
BSA Honorary Membership is given each year to honor a person of esteemed character who has rendered the profession of architecture as a valuable service within the territory of the Boston Society of Architects/AIA (BSA), and has conspicuously upheld the BSA’s aims. In awarding this honor to both Lisa and Judy, BSA President Jean Carroon, FAIA, of Goody Clancy noted, “Historically, honorary membership has only been given to individuals. But the Honors and Awards Committee felt so strongly that this honor was a package deal, we amended the BSA bylaws to make this double honor possible. You can add that to your long list of accomplishments, Lisa and Judy!”
We hope you’ll join us in congratulating Lisa & Judy!
