Nitsch Engineering has been a women-owned firm since our founding in 1989, and is proud to be part of the movement bringing more diverse voices into the building industry. Over the past 27 years, we have grown into the largest women-owned engineering firm in Massachusetts – at least partially thanks to diversity-focused programs like the one mentioned in this article from The Boston Globe. In addition to being majority-owned by women – including Chairman & CEO Lisa Brothers, Founding Principal Judy Nitsch, and Chief Engineer Sandy Brock – we’re also proud to note that almost 40% of our engineers are women (compared to the 12% average) and 80% of our Board of Directors are women.
